About the Position The Sexual Misconduct Background Check Program Assistant performs tasks to support the Sexual Misconduct Background Check program. This position will be responsible for initiating background checks for graduate assistant job candidates.
Required Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent and one (1) year of general office/clerical experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office (Word, Access, Excel, Outlook) and Adobe Acrobat
  • Demonstrated ability to work with confidential/sensitive information
  • Demonstrated ability to adhere to deadlines and prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrated data entry skills
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Preferred Qualifications
  • Two years of general office experience
  • Experience in higher education and/or student support
  • Experience completing electronic mail merges

Salary Pay for this position is from $18.93-$20.78, commensurate with experience.
Bargaining Unit This position is provisionally part of bargaining unit A and covered by the collective bargaining agreement with Washington Federation of State Employees of WWU.
