About the Position

Under general direction of NP or MD, you will provide patient care through assessment, diagnosis, planning, implementation and evaluation of safe, therapeutic care for a diverse population of university-age patients in a university setting.

The Student Health Center utilizes a pool of temporary on-call fill-in RN2s to maintain staffing levels reduced to permanent staff absences. 

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Gathering history of present illness
  • Administering flu vaccinations
  • Phone and telemedicine triage
  • Performing Covid testing
Required Qualifications
  • WA State Registered Nurse License
  • Experience working as a Registered Nurse
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • RN experience providing healthcare in an ambulatory/outpatient clinic, college/school and/or urgent care clinic setting
  • Experience working with diverse and/or minority populations
  • BCLS Certification
Preferred Qualifications
  • Telephone or in-person triage nursing experience
  • Experience administering immunizations
  • Experience drawing blood
  • Experience performing lab tests in a CLIA-waived lab setting (rapid tests, dipstick tests; as well as preparing specimens for submission to an outside lab)
  • College health nursing experience
  • Experience providing mental healthcare
  • Experience with PointClick electronic medical record
Salary Starts at $32.57/hour 
Bargaining Unit Temporary employees who work more than 350 hours in a twelve month consecutive period from your original date of hire will be included in an appropriate bargaining unit.  Bargaining unit assignment dependent upon position
