About the Position The Campus Visit Manager’s primary responsibility is to coordinate the Student Admissions Representative (StAR) program and daily campus visits as part of the Admissions Visitation Team. This includes the hiring, training and supervising of 50 student employees whose responsibilities include giving campus tours, leading activities related to Discovery Days and Group Visits, assisting with on- and off- campus visit programs, and staffing the front desk. As the manager of the StAR program, this position is responsible for the StAR budget, student timesheet approval and maintaining exceptional customer service and professionalism within the program. This position also supports recruitment and yield initiatives through travel support while contributing to the assessment of a data-driven undergraduate recruitment plan. This position participates in all aspects of outreach, recruitment and admissions in a fast-paced work environment, builds relationships with students, families and counselors, and engages in relevant follow-up, and related duties as assigned to identify, attract and enroll future Western students.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Experience supervising college students or staff
  • Experience in admissions, student affairs, or higher education setting
  • Demonstrated ability working with diverse groups of people in a variety of settings
  • Excellent interpersonal skills that include professional and motivational communication, public speaking, relationship building, and social networking
  • Demonstrated success in motivating others to action
  • Effective written communication
  • Demonstrated high level of cultural competency
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple priorities, pay attention to detail, and meet program objectives
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently, analyze and make decisions related to program content
Preferred Qualifications
  • Fluency in English and one additional language (e.g. Spanish, Mandarin, Vietnamese, etc.)
  • Experience in undergraduate admissions
Salary New hires typically start at $43,335 commensurate experience, including an excellent benefits package
