About the Position Campus Recreation Services strives to empower the Western community to achieve and maintain a healthy lifestyle, and develop leadership abilities by providing the highest quality of recreational and co-curricular programs and services in an environmentally sustainable facility. This position is responsible for performing a variety of clerical support duties for Campus Recreation Services including maintaining facilities schedules and the CRS’ website, assisting CRS professional staff with clerical and marketing duties, coordinating student care package fundraiser, and facilitating CRS front office operations.
Required Qualifications
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Two years of clerical or administrative office experience
  • Experience scheduling using scheduling software
  • Experience using multiple social media platforms (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, and Snapchat)
  • Experience creating and maintaining websites using HTML, JavaScript, and/or CSS
  • Excellent Written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
Preferred Qualifications
  • 1 or more years administrative experience in recreation and/or athletics
  • Previous journalism or written publication experience
  • Proficient user of Adobe Creative Suite
  • Experience using Dreamweaver
  • Proficient user of Microsoft Office
  • Experience using social media management software (e.g. Hootsuite social media management dashboard)
  • Experience using web analytics software (e.g. Google Analytics)
Salary New hires typically start at $2,530/month, including an excellent benefits package
Bargaining Unit This position is part of bargaining unit A and is covered by the collective bargaining agreement with the Washington Federation of State Employees.
