About the Position

This is a project-employment position; ending April 2019.

As our Talent Acquisition & Inclusion Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Representing Western at regional and local recruiting events and to outreach to relevant external professional and employment resources to create a recruiting network
    • This may require multi-day (overnight) regional travel and working nights/weekends
  • Assisting applicants through the recruitment process
    • Act as a point of contact
    • Schedule interviews - telephone and in-person
    • Track applicant information; answer questions
  • Data analysis
    • Track effectiveness of recruitment activities
    • Maintain recruitment metrics
    • Develop and maintain surveys
    • Quarterly evaluation of short and long term recruitment strategies and metric
  • Developing and maintaining recruiting programs
    • Market Western as an "Employer of Choice"
    • Develop best-in-class recruiting practice
    • Develop diverse pipeline programs
    • Ensure program is current with industry standards and trends
    • Perform reference checks
    • Work in close coordination with Western's Equal Opportunity Office
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelors Degree in Human Resources or a related field
  • Five (5) years of experience with employee recruitment or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to effectively communicate and work with a wide range of individuals and constituents in a diverse community
  • Exhibit a strong client focus and relationship building skills
  • Demonstrated understanding of recruiting processes including selection methods
  • Previous experience with candidate sourcing tools and methods
  • Excellent knowledge of recruitment marketing trends and best practices 
  • Effective negotiation, influencing and communication skills
  • Demonstrated experience in time management and multitasking
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to compose and edit written materials
  • Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality of clients and records
  • Ability to travel locally and regionally
  • Ability to work nights and/or weekends as required
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience in Human Resource Management
  • Experience in employee recruitment
  • Knowledge of relevant federal, state and local employment laws
  • SHRM-CP certification or equivalent 
Salary $52,819 - $67,491; depending on years of experience
